Kellogg's Eet & Ern Online Loyalty Program
An industry first is the best way to describe Kellogg's Eet and Ern online loyalty program for kids. We started by printing unique codes inside specially marked boxes of Kellogg's cereal. Kids then entered the codes online, receiving points to collect or redeem for toys, sporting goods, and school supplies.

Kellogg's Eet & Ern Online Loyalty Program

My role at the time as an Illustrator allowed me to create the first new characters Kellogg's had introduced in over 30 years. I developed a vector library for each character, spot illustrations, and environmental assets for print and online animations.

I created the character designs for Kellogg's Eet and Ern while riding on the CTA to and from work. Eet, the overly excitable horse who couldn't get enough Kellogg's cereal, received an extra large set of choppers, while Ern was modeled after a cool and collective piggy bank.
The characters appeared on the packaging, starred in their own online video shorts and virtual arcade games, and became plush toys for which kids could redeem their points.
Working hand in hand with costume builders and sculptures, we transformed this dynamic duo into life-size mascots to be used in their very own commercial spots.
